The private hot spring in the River View Room did not meet expectations, often not hot enough for enjoyment, a major disappointment. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, showing signs of mold in the bathroom and dusty air vents.

    shower facilities

The location was perfect, just a short walk to the train station, with access to local attractions. The indoor and outdoor onsens were spacious, with a peaceful retreat amidst nature, which I appreciated deeply. The traditional Japanese meals served in the privacy of my room were really good, showcasing a variety of flavors that left me delighted with every bite.

    Shower facilities need some upkeep.

    staff issues
    cramped rooms

This place claims to provide a traditional experience, yet the staff as a whole were hit or miss, as if they were auditioning between their main roles, while I expected to be treated like royalty. Rooms are cramped, definitely not what you envision from the glossy images. I almost gave a good review but just couldn't,

    Equal parts excellent and disappointing

The on-site onsen provided a serene escape, complemented by delicious traditional meals that left me eagerly anticipating dinner each evening.

Despite excellent dining, the cleanliness left much to be desired, as my room showed signs of neglect with mold and dust issues.

    luxurious experience

Family experience, maybe not worth the expense

The private onsen was a luxurious experience and the staff were kind. Especially the young lady serving our meals who even went out of her way to translate a pickle for me.

Although the experience was costly, it was acceptably enjoyable.

Staying here was a dream! The traditional Japanese dinner served in our room was lovely, and the views from the hot spring were stunning. Sadly, the room cleanliness wasn't up to par with expectations.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location was great with easy access to transportation and local shops. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, we could store our luggage before check-in and providing ice water in our room each night. The room was spacious, clean, and had a private onsen that was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The massage therapist was also fantastic and provided an amazing experience.

    Can't fault anything about it.

It was nice to have a comfortable room with a large bathroom, and tasty traditional dinner and breakfast. the hotel staff were friendly and helpful with transportation suggestions. the hotel's location by the river was lovely and provided good photo opportunities.

The lack of facilities for children and the absence of a kids club impacted our overall enjoyment.
